By accessing or using 8-Bit Arcade ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

Must have legal capacity to enter binding contracts
Not prohibited by law from using cryptocurrency platforms
2. Platform Description
8-Bit Arcade provides:
Browser-based retro arcade games
Blockchain-based reward distribution
Tournament entry and competition
Token trading (via third-party DEX)
Not Provided:
Custody of funds (non-custodial)
Financial advice
Guaranteed returns
Investment opportunities (play-to-earn, not invest-to-earn)
3. Account Registration
Wallet Connection:
No traditional account creation
Connect Web3 wallet (MetaMask, etc.)
You control private keys
Platform never has access to your wallet
Usernames:
Optional feature
Must comply with username policy
Prohibited: offensive, misleading, impersonating
Platform reserves right to reset usernames
4. Gameplay Rules
Fair Play:
No cheating, hacking, or exploits
No bots or automation
No multiple accounts per person
Must play honestly and legitimately
Scoring:
Scores verified by anti-cheat system
Platform decision on validity is final
Invalid scores deleted without notice
Repeated violations result in ban
Leaderboards:
Rankings updated in real-time
Only final rankings (at reset) eligible for rewards
Platform reserves right to adjust rankings if errors detected
5. Rewards & Prizes
Daily Rewards:
Top 10 players per game earn rewards
Distribution automatic at 00:00 UTC
No manual claim required
Platform pays gas fees for distribution
Tournaments:
Entry fees non-refundable
Prize distribution automatic
Prizes paid in 8BIT tokens
Platform reserves right to cancel tournaments (with refunds)
No Guarantee:
Rewards depend on ranking
Token value fluctuates
No guaranteed USD value
Play at your own risk
6. Fees & Payments
Gas Fees:
Users pay blockchain gas fees
Required for score submissions, tournament entries
Fees paid to Arbitrum network (not Platform)
Tournament Entry Fees:
Non-refundable
Paid in USDC
50% to prize pool, 50% to buyback & burn
Prices subject to change
No Hidden Fees:
No platform fees
No withdrawal fees
No reward claiming fees
7. Intellectual Property
Platform Content:
Games, graphics, code owned by 8-Bit Arcade or licensors
All rights reserved
May not copy, redistribute, or modify
User License:
Personal, non-commercial use only
No scraping, data mining, or automation
No reverse engineering
Open Source:
Smart contracts open source (specific license in GitHub)
Frontend code proprietary
8. Prohibited Activities
You may NOT:
Violate any laws or regulations
Infringe intellectual property
Use bots, scripts, or automation
Create multiple accounts
Manipulate scores or leaderboards
Harass other users
Spam, phish, or scam
Exploit bugs intentionally
Circumvent security measures
Engage in market manipulation
Penalties:
Account termination
Forfeiture of rewards
Wallet blacklist
Legal action if warranted

No guarantee of availability
No guarantee of profitability
May contain bugs or errors

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES:
Uniswap, MetaMask, etc. not controlled by Platform
Issues with third-parties not Platform's responsibility

10. Limitation of Liability

Platform NOT LIABLE for:
Lost profits or earnings
Lost data or tokens
Smart contract bugs (despite audits)
Third-party service failures
User error or negligence
Market volatility
Regulatory actions
Theft or hacking (of your wallet)
Maximum Liability:
Capped at amount you paid to Platform (if any)
Typically $0 for free players
Entry fees for tournament participants
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Platform against:
Your violation of Terms
Your violation of laws
Your violation of third-party rights
Your negligence or misconduct

Costs and expenses

Leaderboard history retained (public blockchain)

Cannot be deleted or hidden
16. Taxes

Withhold taxes
Issue tax forms (unless required by law)
Keep Records:
Export reward history
Track USD values
